JLT was formed by Jardine Matheson many years ago and subsequently became a listed company in which Jardine Matheson retained a majority interest. JLT was created in 1997 when Jardine Insurance Brokers plc merged with Lloyd Thompson Group plc.
JLT owns offices in 40 territories with some 10,600 employees, supported by the JLT International Network, enabling us to offer risk management and employee benefit solutions in 135 countries.

JLT Specialty Graduate Training Programme
The JLT Specialty graduate programme launched in 2008 and consists of an 18-month programme, commencing in September each year.
This is a work-based programme which allows our graduates to learn on the job whilst earning a competitive salary. We provide structured training to give our graduates a solid foundation in insurance and business skills as well as the opportunity to gain their CII professional insurance qualifications. Upon joining, our graduates are placed in one of our specialist divisions where they undertake work-based learning from day one. By doing so, our graduates develop an advanced knowledge of their particular specialism as well as establish strong relationships within their team and wider division.
The programme is open to you if you are educated to a degree level with a minimum 2:1 in any discipline. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
