New Insurance Trailblazer Apprenticeship

COBRA Financial Services is currently looking for an Insurance Technician Apprentice in Croydon. This is a 12-month Apprenticeship with a full-time position available upon completion and full financial backing, guidance and support to get globally-recognised CII professional qualifications and to obtain membership of COBRA’s Apprentice Academy.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Providing administrative support to a busy underwriting agency in Croydon
  • Learning about the insurance sector in general and the role of an Underwriter
  • Learning technical knowledge on specific insurance classes, underwriting, broking and insurance cover in general
  • Using bespoke IT software to generate and store relevant documentation
  • Providing administrative support to underwriters.

To be eligible for the role you must have:

  • A levels, International Baccalaureate, BTEC or equivalent
  • GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths Grade C or above

The following skills and personal qualities are also important:

  • Computer literacy and competency on Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A positive attitude
  • Self-motivation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
