If you're looking for another entry-level job in underwriting, and you have had some experience of working in insurance and you want to work closely with the historic area of marine insurance, read on. 

This role of Underwriting Assistant is the first rung on the ladder to becoming a fully-fledged Underwriter, the professional who assesses risks for the business. 

While this role is mostly desk-based, you will also have the chance to spend some time in Lloyd's of London, sitting at 'the Box'. 

In a typical day you will support the team of Marine Undewriters, attend meetings and get involved in project-based work. 

You should have some experience of working in insurance and you will have sound MS Office knowledge, particularly Excel and Word. 

You will hold at least A levels (or equivalent) and will also have GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
