PwC report predicts 22,000 jobs in risk by 2020


PwC report predicts 22,000 jobs in risk by 2020 A report released today by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), states that sustainable and well regulated growth in the UK financial services sector could generate approximately 22,000 additional jobs in the UK insurance industry over the next seven years.

The report declares a projected growth of an additional 47, 500 jobs in the financial services sector, with the insurance industry accounting for 47%.

PwC UK insurance leader Jonathan Howe said, “Our analysis shows the important contribution the UK insurance sector makes to not only the financial services sector, but to the whole of the UK economy.  A thriving insurance sector is essential to both the UK economy and to individuals.”
