NFU Mutual opens financial adviser academy One of the UK’s leading general insurance and financial services companies, NFU Mutual has been meeting its customers’ needs for over 100 years. 

NFU Mutual's Agency network is the primary way it sell its products and builds really close relationships with customers. The Sales and Agency department drives sales growth in general insurance and financial services along with supporting agents to effectively operate their businesses.

It is now looking for people to join Financial Services Distribution throughout the UK as part of its Financial Adviser Academy.

NFU Mutual's Financial Adviser Academy is designed to give you both practical experience and technical knowledge. That will give you a balanced combination of soft and technical skills to become competent and successful in a Financial Adviser role with NFU Mutual.

The scheme will prepare you to discuss and provide financial planning options with customers and help devise a plan for their future.

You will also get support towards industry-recognised professional qualifications, including the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

You will receive a full corporate induction and a development programme with your own coach and mentor who is a successful Financial Adviser with the NFU Mutual. You will be supported fully as you develop your career with NFU Mutual.

Analysis and adaptability with strong numerical skills
Self-motivation and able to work to tight deadlines
Ability to work in teams and in silo when needed
Keen to develop, learn new skills and actively participate in our Financial Adviser Academy
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
A positive attitude and plenty of ambition and drive to add value

NFU Mutual is looking for those holding at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths and English.

The deadlines for applications is Sunday 19 February and the role for the successful applicants will start in May.
