Work in York - NFU Mutual Claims roles open

Work in York - NFU Mutual Claims roles open

You can find roles in risk anywhere. To illustrate the point, here are roles that are ideal if you live in or near to York - thanks to our friends at NFU Mutual, who have also recently sent us roles for their teams in Chester and Swindon.

Here's the lowdown on the York roles, in their own words:

About the Role
At NFU Mutual we will always look for ways to settle our customers’ claims, rather than excuses not to. This makes working in claims altogether more satisfying and more rewarding. Managing and handling incoming motor claims and queries, you’ll listen closely to the customer and what they need – reassuring them and giving them peace of mind at what can be a stressful time.

As well as the customer, you’ll talk to NFU Mutual Agents and relevant third parties to settle claims quickly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for making important decisions on behalf of the business, including legal liability and settlement. From the moment you pick up the phone, you’ll make customers feel at ease, giving them the time, care and attention they deserve.

About You
More than anything, it's outlook and personality that matter. Of course, if you’ve worked in insurance before that's great, and if you’re an experienced claims handler, even better, but it’s by no means essential.

It's likely that you'll have worked in a customer-facing role before though. You will have excellent communication skills and will know what great service looks like, sounds like and feels like. That is really important to us with our members being at the heart of everything we do.

Our Rewards
As a Mutual company which rewards its members, we also like to reward our employees who make this possible. Support, career development rewards and job satisfaction are some of the key things we focus on. Our generous benefits package includes a contributory pension scheme, annual company performance-related bonus, 25 days’ holiday (plus Bank Holidays) and even a £20 contribution to your gym membership! We’ve a wealth of training programmes open to you and we’ll help you develop your career in the direction that you want it to go. We’ll also help you to gain recognised CII insurance qualifications (and we’ll even give you a bonus when you pass them).

The link to the role is here and the closing date for applications is Friday 29 September - but always apply as soon as you can.
