Online insurance provider is set to create 100 jobs over the next three years at its base in South Dublin, according to

Chill Insurance's current head count stands at 60, which is set to grow as the company plans to recruit new employers for a number of roles; including entry-level jobs in insurance, technology, back office roles and others.

It is thought the roles will be created in order to handle "a higher volume of business and traffic through Chill Insurance and its call centre in Blackrock."

Originally, Chill Insurance was launched as the internet arm of insurance broker Power Lynch and Associates, a 40-year old business. However the company expects to double the volume of internet business it conducts in the next year, as customers increasingly shop around online to compare insurance deals.

The plans to increase the number of jobs at the firm from 60 to 160 by 2014 forms part of the wider plan for business expansion.

Chill Insurance offers a number of insurance services, from home and motor, to travel and life insurance. It is an official member of the British Brokers Association, is fully bonded and carries Professional Indemnity Insurance.

According to its website, Chill Insurance aims to: "Take the hassle out of insurance," demonstrated by its training methods, which were designed to teach employees to keep everything "simple and straightforward for [the customer] at every available opportunity."
