CIMA exams | Reconciliation and Investments Manager

The challenges

The most challenging part of my role is keeping up with all of the changes within the business. Ecclesiastical have really strengthened their sales culture and as we are becoming more competitive we are looking at new ways to attract business.  For my role this means having to consider how we will reconcile and account for this business.
I also have the challenge of telling people when they've done something wrong so this is not always an easy message to deliver. The key is to build good working relationships and this is something that I have worked on over the past few years.

The best bits

The biggest highlight for me has to be completing my CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification. I have to say that I'm not the best at exams but I persevered and got there in the end and it has been well worth it.
